Bought a CPS and poked around when doing a DSG service and decided this was not for me. Local VW shop swapped it out for me and the car runs perfectly again. I still have a new OEM CPS if anyone wants $60 shipped.
I tried to get this covered by dieselgate but they couldn’t replicate it. Fair enough it was intermittent but it increased over time. They gave me a new DPF because of a regen frequency issue so I ended up paying a shop $342 total and it was done in a day. Feels so much better driving in stop and go not having to worry about it randomly shutting down or passengers freaking out on the highway when it hesitates.
