I do an 80 mile round trip. What do other people do?
My bro-in-law used to make a ~200km commute from his place in San Diego to Beverly Hills (northern part of LA, just before the hump into the SF Valley)...depending on when he hit the road, it could easily be a longer (time-wise) drive than that Yellowhead "commute" between 'toon-town and Edmonton.A guy I used to work with would commute from Saskatoon SK to Edmonton AB - 525 KM. Not every day but several times per month. He rolled over 1 000 000 - correct a million - on his old diesel
Wow! That's a LOT of driving!Sometimes my daily commute has me driving from San Francisco Bay Area to San Diego while other days I just find myself staying in NorCal and only putting 400 miles in a day of client visits.
... and this is why I drive and love my VW Tdi. My goal is to get to 1 million miles on one of my vehicles. Combined I am almost 3/4 of the way there, but I would just love to see the odometer go to 999999.9 . It was quote nice to see it turn 500,000 miles.Wow! That's a LOT of driving!
It's a really long round trip. Well, at least you are there for 3 days, and not every day)) And then there would be no time for work at all240 miles round trip for me. I drive to work and stay there for 3 days then I drive home.
