So ive been running into some trouble with my axles. Just bought a second pair and theyre already clicking and grinding when i turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and slowly turn. The axles i bought were from raxles and im pretty sure they are good quality. I bought some cheap china axles before that and they did the same thing. I spoke to the guy in charges of raxles and asked him about it. He said Its very unlikely that the axles are the root cause of the problem. He says there is some component in the car that prevents the steering wheel from turning too much and its probably worn out, making the wheel turn to much and stretching the cv joints past their failure point. My question is what could this worn component be that prevents the steering wheel from turning to far? I also have some similiar clicking/popping sounds coming from both sides of my suspension that happen when i brake or accelerate hard over bumps especially. Could this be the struts mounts or Strut bearings?

You sure it's not your ball joints that are toast? Mine make awful click/popping sounds when they are dying...CV joints normally get loud and the noise/clicking is in time with the RPM...

could be the ball joints take make that popping sound when i brake and accelerate sometimes. Might as well buy some and switch em out and see cause they're cheap and easy. But this clicking noise plus the grinding coming from the right wheel when i turn the wheel all the way and turn to the left slowly definitely has to do something with the right axle. Its just very strange because the axle is so new. Just tryna figure out what part this guy from raxles was talking about that blocks the wheel from turning too much.

Left turn loads the right wheel, which means that grinding/clicking could be a bad wheel bearing too. With the car up in the air you can check for play, just grab the wheel at 3 and 9 o'clock and rock it too feel if you have any freeplay.

As well, did you torque the axle nut properly when you installed your new axles? Bentley calls for a "special" torque procedure for those.

I have a snippet from the manual but there's no easy way to post a pic that I see anymore. Well uploading that was a hassle. All the other forums I'm on you can just drag/drop or copy paste right to your reply ?‍♂

The bearing that sits on top of the coil spring but under the rubber strut mount.

Could be several things: tie rod, ball joint, strut bearing. Jack up the car, and do the "wiggle test" with the wheels. First, grab the wheel at the 3 and 9 o'clock position, and try to wiggle it side-to-side. Then grab it at 12 and 6 o'clock, and try to wiggle up / down. If there's any play, try to see what's loose.

I'm guessing it's not a wheel bearing, because they normally make a roaring / howling noise. And it is usually related to vehicle speed, or turning in one particular direction.
