I have a 2006 Jetta TDI that has me really stumped. My car will start perfectly in my drive way but as soon as I drive 10-15mins to the store and go in and shop I’ll come back outside to my car not wanting to start. It’s ONLY when my engine is hot/warm. I have replaced the fuel filter, air filter, fuel pump relay. Anyone know what else it could possibly be? When it is driving it runs and sounds amazing. I don’t have any loss of power at all, it isn’t missing. I don’t know what else to do. Someone suggested that I clean out the EGR? Any other suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Would it need to be replaced? Or what? It’s just so weird that it doesn’t wanna start when warmed up. But yet, runs and sounds amazing. Like they day I brought it home from VW with 5 miles on it.

Yes it would, before replacing it inspect the wiring to see if a rodent chewed the wires or if rubbed through against something.

Okay, is it easy to find? I’m doing the best I can as a single Mom to my son who has disabilities. But, we all know how expensive cars can be.

Okay! It was my crankshaft position sensor. Now I need to find engine mounts. All 4 of them. I am having a really hard time finding them for my car. Anyone know where I could look?

Why do you need all 4 engine mounts?

Because my engine rocks when the car is started. It stops as it is running. But my mechanic brother said we need to get the engine mounts for it.
