Strong VW good, SouthTowne VW bad. I haven't heard bad things about Cutrubus VW in Ogden (north of SLC) or Ken Garff VW in Orem (south of SLC), both could probably handle the job.

It's not so much going up, but the transition from going up to going down (hill cresting). It can also happen going down steep hills. For some reason with a nose down attitude the throttle response changes. There has been much discussion regarding this phenomenon.

I think the key words here are "up and over" and "get to the top". Sounds like a classic example of the "hill cresting hesitation". Seems to be a common trait where the ECU defuels when cresting a hill. I've got a freeway on ramp that produces similar results.

One "salesman" I was dealing with insisted the TDI had a timing chain, the DSG service was @ 80k miles, and you couldn't get a 2010 4 door Golf TDI with a manual transmission (in the US). Yet none of these were true... :rolleyes:
